LionHeart has a 24 hour helpline staffed by trained advisors and qualified counsellors who listen to any problem in confidence and offer constructive advice, information and strategies for coping with a wide range problems, and in certain circumstances financial assistance.
We help people access statutory health and social services and State benefits to which many do not know they are entitled, and obtain help from other charities.
People needing a legal solution to their problem may be referred to a legal helpline.
All beneficiaries are visited and befriended by one of our volunteers or one of our qualified staff may visit people with more complex problems or provide telephone counselling.
We are able to assist unemployed members with mentoring or the cost of updating their skills to improve their prospects of employment, or to retrain for another career if it is unlikely that they will regain work in the property profession, perhaps because of ill-health or disability.
