Workplace Representatives
Where does LionHeart need workplace representatives?
LionHeart needs workplace representatives in major firms worldwide.
Why become a workplace representative?
LionHeart relies heavily on RICS members to raise awareness across the property industry. If you would like to become more involved in raising awareness for LionHeart why not become a workplace representative? LionHeart needs volunteers to:
· Arrange collections in their workplace
· Run local campaigns to attract legacies and encourage Gift Aid
· Raise awareness amongst members of the RICS
· Encourage corporate sponsorship
What do workplace representatives do?
Workplace representatives help raise awareness amongst RICS members about the range of services provided by the charity and encourage greater financial support. The focus is on increasing tax-efficient donations by Gift Aid, promoting the benefits of legacies, and encouraging the organisation of fundraising events, large and small.
Fundraisers will encourage colleagues to help them and will not be expected to undertake all the work alone. They will work closely with area representatives supporting beneficiaries in their area, network with each others to share expertise, and will be supported by Chris Wall, Head of Marketing and Fundraising.
Each fundraiser receives a pack which includes details about fundraising for LionHeart, information about raising awareness, general promotions and specific types of fundraising events. LionHeart has a wide selection of informative leaflets for members describing the work of the charity, which can be included in CPD delegate packs, distributed at professional meetings of chartered surveyors and fundraising events. LionHeart also has a wide range of other promotional material in different media formats available to support fundraising initiatives.
What are the benefits of getting involved?
Many people find getting involved with LionHeart is a way to assist fellow members less fortunate than themselves and putting something back into a profession that has given them successful careers in the property industry. It is rewarding to be part of the LionHeart team, making a real difference to people’s lives. There are opportunities for developing new skills and networking with other volunteers.
