Established in 1899 with an initial donation from a chartered surveyor, our long proud history has seen us develop from a traditional grant-giving benevolent fund to a multi-layered, multi-faceted service delivery organisation. From our in-house counselling service to legal advice, employment and financial support, we tailor support for each person who calls us for help, and we also offer a popular programme of training and development workshops and webinars.
We have a friendly, hard-working team who really care about the work they do and the difference they make to RICS professionals and their families.

We are now recruiting for volunteer full and associate board members.
- Full board members: As we look to further diversify the skills and experiences among our trustees, we’d particularly welcome applications from people with a small business background and from a range of surveying disciplines or other professions.
- Associate board members: These positions give early career surveying professionals an unusual opportunity to gain strategic, board level experience.
