As LionHeart marks 125 years of supporting the surveying community this year, we’re looking to add to our Board of Trustees.
It’s a great time to join us as we reflect on a long proud history of supporting the surveying community, with one eye on developing the strategy that will shape our services over the next three years and beyond.

What we’re looking for:
Full Board Members
As we look to continue to expand our board experience, we’d particularly welcome applications from people with strategic fundraising experience who can help us develop our approach to fundraising and income generation.
We strive for diversity in our Board, which currently includes a range of backgrounds and surveying specialisms including valuation, project management, planning and development, real estate, investment and land economy. To increase experience, we'd welcome surveyors (AssocRICS, MRICS or FRICS) from different professional areas or with different lived experience.
But trustees do not need to be surveyors at all - in fact, we’d love to hear from partners or family members of surveyors, or those from other professional backgrounds.
Our trustees are appointed on a three-year term, with the option to renew.
Associate Board Members
Perhaps you are a newly qualified or trainee chartered surveyor keen to add to your skillset. If you don’t have board level or strategic experience but are interested, then consider joining us as an Associate Member.
Associate trustees join for a two-year term and have the opportunity to participate in board meetings and events to get first-hand experience and to broaden their skills base.
We offer a great induction, all the training you’ll need and we can match you up with another more experienced trustee as a mentor to help you develop.
Trustee positions are unpaid, but any travelling expenses are reimbursed.

Join our online information sessions:
Join some of our senior board members for these informal online sessions, where you can find out more about being a charity trustee and ask any questions you might have.
