Programme

Welcome to this month's LionHeart Wellbeing Programme for surveying SMEs!
This November, we're talking money...
Being a professional doesn’t make people immune to money worries – and most of us are just a couple of twists and turns of fate away from financial difficulties.
This month we’re focusing on some of the financial challenges people may face at any point in their careers, and look at the links between money worries and poor mental health.
The resources below aim to help you understand more about how LionHeart can offer support if someone is facing financial difficulties. We encourage anyone who is struggling to contact our helpline for a chat in complete confidence.

However, there are often misconceptions about what types of grants we offer so take a look at these FAQs to find out more.
| How LionHeart grants helped James and Ellen | |||
| James contacted LionHeart after he was unfairly dismissed and out of work for six months. He said: "I had no money coming in and debts were adding up. I was in a very low place and going through the stress of an industrial tribunal. LionHeart's support made me feel like I mattered.” We helped with a monthly grant as well as advice on benefits entitlement and back to work support. | |||

LionHeart gave a grant to help adapt a shower room and area where he could be isolated, meaning he could stay at home throughout his treatment. Ellen said: “The safe space means fewer hospital stays and allows us as a family to be together, finding some sort of peace in challenging circumstances. We’re truly grateful.”
