Expanded work-related support for RICS professionals
LionHeart has expanded the range of support for people who are out of work or looking for help to make changes in their professional lives.
New partnership agreements have been reached with specialist external providers so LionHeart is now able to offer work-related help in even more circumstances.
This includes funding support for those who have been unemployed for three months or more, and those in receipt of certain benefits, through expert providers Renovo, Chiumento and The Training Tube.
Bena Kansara, support service manager, said: “Depending upon the person’s circumstances and needs, our support officers will be able to make a referral to the provider we feel best meets those needs.
"This might range from a full three-month programme of back to work support, or focus on certain areas such as help with interview techniques or CVs. The support may be delivered online, over the phone or face to face, again depending on the individual case.”
But the support isn’t just limited to those surveyors who are out of work. LionHeart’s experienced support officers are all trained to take a coaching approach when working with people who, for whatever reason, may feel like they need a little bit of extra support in their hunt for a new job or new direction.
LionHeart has also partnered with specialist recruiters FastTrack Management Services, which works with large well-known consultancies and firms through to smaller independently-owned chartered surveying practices, general practice surveyors and public sector organisations.
Under a special partnership agreement, support officers working with RICS professionals will now be able to introduce them to FastTrack’s specialist team, who will aim to identify possible suitable job opportunities and give further advice as needed.
Support officer Ben Halpin said: “We’re very excited to be able to offer this as previously our support has been limited to those RICS professionals who found themselves out of work or facing redundancy. Changing job or direction in your career can be quite a stressful time so it’s great that we’re now in a position to be able to broaden the type of support available, and we’d welcome people to give us a call to talk through their options.”
