RICS professionals all over the world are being affected by the current Covid-19 pandemic.
LionHeart is working hard to support the surveying community through these unprecedented times.
It is business as usual for our helpline and support services, including counselling, which are running as normal as we have moved to remote working.
An emergency meeting of our board of trustees has ensured maximum flexibility in the way we are able to respond to requests for help, including financial assistance for those facing particular hardship or difficulties due to Covid-19.
While our face-to-face workshops and activities with corporate partners have been temporarily suspended, we are offering online workshops and webinars where possible, with a wellbeing focus for those people who are feeling isolated and working from home.
How we can help
The current climate is causing a great deal of uncertainty and fear for the future for many surveyors, particularly those who are self-employed, contractors or working for small firms. In some circumstances we can offer grants to help bridge the gap if you are struggling financially. Our support officers can also help you work out what government support or other benefits you may be entitled to.
It’s quite normal if you are feeling anxious or isolated because for many people, life has changed dramatically as a result of Covid-19. If you call our helpline one of our experienced support officers will be able to offer a confidential and friendly listening ear to support you through whatever worries you are facing.
We offer free professional counselling in the UK and Ireland for those who are struggling with their mental health.
We can refer you for a free phone consultation where a legal adviser can offer initial guidance and advise on your next steps if you have a legal query (UK and certain European countries only)
Webinars/ online learning
You can access a range of webinars to support your mental health and wellbeing throughout this difficult period when you might be feeling more isolated than usual.
Our training may also count towards your CPD requirements.
