Support in Ireland
LionHeart is working closely with the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland to offer an expanded package of support to its members in the Republic of Ireland.
RICS professionals all over the world are eligible to access support from LionHeart although, for practical reasons, we cannot offer exactly the same services to members outside the UK.
Previously our support for overseas members has been confined to financial assistance in certain circumstances as well as some help through our Back to Work scheme.
But we have recently been able to expand our free, professional counselling service to those members living in the Irish Republic, as well as opening up access to our legal helpline.
If you are an RICS professional based in Ireland, here are some of the ways in which we are able to offer support to you and your family:
Our grants are available outside the UK if you meet certain criteria. If you have less money coming in than going out each month, and have been coping with difficult financial circumstances brought about by things like ill health, redundancy, relationship breakdown or bereavement, why not contact us to see how we can help?
Back to Work support
Our Back to Work service for members outside the UK is limited to help that can be provided online - this can include help with your CV, advice and guidance on how to prepare for interviews and making the most of online opportunities for help.
Access to a free legal helpline is now offered through our partners Law Express in Ireland, where a legal adviser will explain your rights and help you work out your next steps.
Health and wellbeing
Often, if you're stressed or struggling to cope, just having someone to speak to can really help. At LionHeart we believe that no-one should face a problem alone, and our team of experienced support officers can offer the confidential, practical support needed to help people overcome some of those unexpected challenges in life.
We are now able to offer RICS professionals in Ireland fast access to our counselling service.
The service is offered by our highly-trained and qualified staff counsellors, who are all registered with the BACP and offer counselling via telephone or a secure online platform.
Our counselling service is one of our fastest growing areas of support, now requested by 1 in 5 of the people we support. It is also available to spouses/ partners.
