From our in-house counselling service to legal advice, employment and financial support, we tailor support for each person who calls us for help, and we also offer a popular programme of training and development workshops and webinars.

We have a friendly, hard-working team who really care about the work they do and the difference they make to RICS professionals and their families. As an employer, we also pride ourselves on a real commitment to work-life balance and a fun, flexible and exciting working environment, and are proud holders of Gold Investors in People status.

We currently have the following exciting opportunity to join the team:

Counsellor (part-time)

Two year fixed term contract

Closing date: 4th January 2022

Interview dates: 14th January 2022

Our in-house counselling service has grown rapidly and is now one of our most commonly requested services. Due to increased demand, we are looking to recruit a part-time, person-centred counsellor to work alongside two other counsellors who also offer CBT and EMDR alongside their counselling practice.

Who are we looking for?

Initially we are looking for 2-days a week (0.4FTE) but this has potential to grow in the future. You will be part of a small, friendly and dedicated team who are very experienced in supporting the people who call us. Funded supervision is included and there are opportunities for further training and development for the right person.

Our counselling services are delivered online via video conferencing or by phone.

We are looking for a diploma qualified counsellor who is BACP/ BABCP registered and accredited (or likely to achieve accreditation within the next 12 months).

You must have demonstrable experience of providing counselling including online and telephone counselling, a thorough understanding of the therapeutic landscape and a sound understanding of all common mental health conditions and their suitability for remote counselling.

You will be able to manage your own caseload and understand and assess risk appropriately.

What we offer:

Your base will be the LionHeart office in Birmingham where we meet up to three times a month for meetings but you may choose to work from home for the remaining time or from the office. The office is a 10 minute walk from Birmingham New Street.

LionHeart also offers regular team development days and training opportunities, a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme and a warm and inclusive culture.

In line with our commitment to opportunities for all we welcome applications from BAME individuals and guarantee an interview to disabled candidates who fulfil our essential criteria. Interviews will initially be conducted remotely and hopefully in person for the second stage.

This role is offered as a 2 year fixed term contract.
